At Green Cart, your satisfaction is our priority. We are committed to offering high-quality, eco-friendly products and outstanding customer service. This Refunds and Returns Policy is designed in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and guided by the best practices outlined by the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) under the Consumer Trainers and Advisors Association (CTAA).


1. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return under the following conditions:
  • The item is unused, in its original packaging, and returned within 7 days of delivery.
  • The product is defective, damaged, or not as described.
  • Perishable, customized, or intimate goods (such as food or hygiene items) cannot be returned, unless defective.

2. How to Request a Return

To initiate a return:
  1. Email support@primary-production-cdde.up.railway.app within 7 days of receiving your order.
  2. Provide your order number, reason for return, and supporting photos if applicable.
  3. Our customer care team will review your request and provide a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and instructions for return shipping.

3. Return Shipping

  • If the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective item), we will cover the cost of return shipping.
  • If you are returning for personal reasons (e.g. change of mind), return shipping costs are your responsibility.

4. Refund Process

Once your return is received and inspected, you will be notified of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • If approved, your refund will be processed within 5–10 working days via your original method of payment.
  • If the item is returned used, damaged, or outside the return period, no refund will be issued.
  • Delivery fees are non-refundable, unless the item was faulty or incorrectly supplied.

5. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange a product, please return it for a refund and place a new order.

6. Faulty or Incorrect Goods

If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or incorrect:
  • Report the issue within 48 hours of delivery.
  • We will replace or refund affected items at no extra cost to you.

7. Your Rights Under the CPA

This policy is in line with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 and the dispute resolution processes of the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO). If you are unsatisfied with how your return is handled, you may escalate the matter to:
